Fame again!!

After having a lovely day on Wednesday celebrating James’s birthday in Manchester - and enjoying a meal at Pesto who serve a delicious combination of Italian ‘tapas’. 002
James enjoying our al fresco meal out at Pesto in Deansgate.
Today we left Castlefield Basin and travelled out to the  Bridgewater Marina again.  Our time limit was up in Castlefield so we’re motoring out for a few days.  On the way we stopped off at the Trafford Centre to take a look around as we’ve never been.  Very Las Vegas!

An amazing shopping centre, no wonder people take a day trip there.  We didn’t really need to buy anything but did get some spare covers for our directors chairs (which we use on deck) in Habitat as it was closing down.  We’ve normally paid £10 each for them in the past -  today they were reduced to £3 each!
We continued in the afternoon to the Bridgewater marina where we filled with diesel.  We haven’t filled up for over a month and still had 1/4 of a tank left!  Just as an aside – we’ve lasted 2 weeks without filling with water and the black water tank lasts a good 5 weeks before pump-out so we’re certainly not having to stop to service the boat every 5 minutes.  We have a few nights in the marina on electric again for £8 per night as we have a bit of time to kill as our friends from Germany fly in to Manchester airport on Thursday.  We have some routine maintenance to carry out on ‘Chance’ and will return to Manchester on Sunday.
While paying for the diesel we noticed that they had just received the October issue of Waterways World and who should feature in it?……….

Well, well it’s us again. Waterways World came out to see us when we were moored at Beeston Castle on the Shropshire Union canal.  They wanted to review our boat with MGM’s following build nb ‘The Tardis’.  Some great pictures again and a very good review….
Lastly, for this blog, James would like to say “Thank you” to everyone who sent their best wishes on his birthday.  Greetings came by phone, e mail, text, blog, cards and carrier pigeon!
